ABOUT
"During my five-year degree, I was constantly told about male composers, listened to music written by them, and analyzed their scores. Women composers were not mentioned or included in any of the classes. And this isn't a problem exclusive to the school where I studied; this situation is repeated in other higher education music institutions in Mexico—and probably in other countries. Why aren't women composers studied? Aren't there enough of them? Are there no records of their works?
On this site, I will gather information about them, name them, and provide students, teachers, performers, and interested parties with links to listen to their works and the ability to access their scores.
There were, there are, and there will continue to be women who compose. The only thing missing is the will to get to know them.
Come, MEET FEMALE COMPOSERS."
