Composer, pianist, and music critic. She studied piano with Agathe Backer-Grondahl (a composer who also appears on this blog). She continued her studies with Carl Reinecke in Leipzig and Albert Becker in Berlin.
Here is her Norwegian Romance for piano and violin, Op. 17, with a link to download the score.
She made her debut as a pianist in 1890 in Oslo and soon toured Europe and the United States. After completing her concert career, she became a teacher at the Bergen Music Conservatory. She wrote as a music critic for the newspapers Bergens Aftenblad and Bergens Arbeiderblad.
