Estonian composer. I found very little information about her online, which surprises me since she died in 2021 and there's almost nothing about her life. I also couldn't find any sheet music, but I thought it would be interesting to share her music here.

Esther wrote chamber music, vocal, choral and symphonic works.

I share with you her Symphony 1, written in 1968.

She studied with Mart Saar at the Tallinn Conservatory, and later at the Moscow Conservatory with Vissarion Chebalin. Some of her best-known works include her Piano Sonata (1949), Piano Trio in F minor (1950), Piano Concerto (1953), Violin Concerto (1958), Symphony (1968), Variations for piano, clarinet and chamber orchestra (1972), Bukoolika for orchestra (1983), and Vesper for violin and piano/organ (1990). Much of her work was inspired by Estonian folk music. Mägi died in May 2021 at the age of 99.

I share some of the afore mentioned works.

Although Vesper is for violin and piano/organ from 1990, this is a version for strings made in 1998.

And here's some choral music by Ester Mägi. This is "Siin mu rõõmumaa"
