Composer, organist, pianist, and teacher. She was principal organist at Saint-Éspiritu for 29 years and at La Madeleine in Paris beginning in 1962. She performed internationally as an organist, was the first woman to record an organ album, and gave around 700 concerts.

I share Pointes, which is the first of the 6 Studies, Op. 5. Here is also the link to download the score:

Demessieux always played from memory, with a working repertoire of over 2,500 works, including compositions by Bach, Franck, Liszt, and Mendelssohn. She received the Grand Prix du Disque Award in 1961 for her complete recording of Franck's organ works.

Below is the Prelude to Triptyque, Op. 7, with the link to download the score:

Demessieux wrote more than 30 works. A third of them were for organ, but she also wrote piano pieces, songs, chamber music, choral and orchestral works. About half of his output was published in 2021. Jeanne died at the age of 47 of throat cancer.

Finally, I share Te Deum, Op. 11, and the link to the score.
