Composer and pedagogue. She was one of the leading European orchestral and chamber music composers of her time. Despite her contemporary fame, not much has been written about her. Here's her String Quartet, Op. 6, and the link to download the score.
According to Carola Darwin (opera singer and music researcher), "Women's contributions to Vienna's creative life during this period have been largely forgotten as a result of Nazi ideology and the general devastation of World War II. Johanna Müller-Hermann's works deserve a much wider audience, not only for their intrinsic quality, but also because they were an integral part of Vienna's extraordinary creative flourishing."
Here are Intermezzos 3 and 4 from his 5 Klavierstücke, Op. 3. The link to download the complete work can be found below.
Müller-Hermann wrote vocal, orchestral, and chamber music. She also composed a symphonic poem based on the play Brand by playwright Henrik Ibsen, which I share below. The link to download the score is still pending.
And without further information I leave you with one last video with her Heroische Ouvertüre, Op. 21
