Composer and pianist. She studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory and later in New York. She continued her studies in Europe with Franz Liszt and Carl Reinecke. In 1873, she made her debut in Leipzig, began a tour, but had to return to the US when her father died in a train accident. Here's her Goblin March, along with a link to download the score.

In 1876, she married Frank H. King, her manager, and began a career as a composer and teacher. To enhance her reputation, Frank persuaded her to publish her works under his name. Six companies published King's compositions, but they bore Julie's name. Strike her for being persuaded. Finally, there's "Supplication" (although we no longer know whether she or her husband wrote it).

Link to download the score below.

Finally, I share his work Bubbling Spring with a link to download the sheet music.
