Composer and pianist. She studied music with Clara Wieck (who is also featured on this blog), Peter Cornelius, and Franz Liszt, and was a teacher in Weimar from 1854 to 1860. She served in the court of Tsar Alexander II, serving as music teacher to his children.
I'll start by sharing the only work for which I found the score, the Mazurka, which is part of her 11 Pieces de Salon Op. 5. In the link to imslp, there's also a Tarantella if you'd like to see it.
During the Russo-Turkish War, she worked in a hospital and later entered a convent of the Tsarist Sisters of the Annunciation. She became an abbess, founded hospitals herself, and died in Crimea in 1892.
I'm now sharing her Nocturne, which is also part of the 11 Pieces de Salon. There's no PDF score, but it's available in the video :)
I didn't find much more of her music, but here's a song called Gute Nacht and the video description says it's set to a poem by Goethe.
