Tekla Badarzewska-Baranowska (1838-1861) Poland

She wrote around 35 short piano pieces. Her most famous work was La prière d'une vierge, Op. 4, published in 1856, which I share below, along with a link to download the sheet music.





There are those who like this work for its charming melody, and there are those who find it in bad taste because of its excessive sentimentality and repetition of the same idea.

Although it is her most famous work, I recommend listening to others, for example, I share Vision, along with the link to download the score.





Tekla lived only 23 years, and with her Op. 4, she perhaps achieved more than any other composer. Interestingly, a crater on Venus was named Badarzewska in her honor. I'm now sharing two more piano pieces with their respective links to download the sheet music.
